Testimonials

" Asda is proud to have been part of Retailers Against Crime since its inception.  As our industry continues to see the levels of loss through crime increase, the ability to share crime related intelligence with other retailers has never been more important.  The regular flow of intelligence and offender profiling through to our store teams really helps us protect our stores, our colleagues and our bottom line. The growth and ongoing development of RAC is something that Asda are delighted to support and be part of. "

" The RAC team continue to work tirelessly on behalf of their retail members engaging with police forces across the UK in the fight against retail crime. Their work with Government and other partner agencies is first class; through conferences, and training targeted at youths they always look at innovative ways to break the cycle of offending and protect retailers who provide an essential service to our communities. From my time in the retail industry to now my place on the RAC Board, I have witnessed the professionalism and benefits RAC bring and would encourage all retail decision makers to become members. "

" Iceland Foods number one security priority is the protection of our staff – and through minimising the risks that could affect our business it is essential that we work closely with a crime partnership who understands our operation and provides valuable active support. The key to the success in working with Retailers Against Crime is the localised service and intelligence provided to our stores assisting with specific issues also to the wider area, regional and national activity information. Iceland stores security incident reporting system, Forum, is accessed daily by the RAC team - which has assisted in improving the identification of offenders, improved Police liaison and providing a simple method to our teams in sharing key intelligence. Working with RAC and through their partnership agreements across the country has no doubt reduced crime in our stores, protected staff and provided recourse to offenders. I would be happy to speak directly to any retailer contemplating joining RAC to express the benefits they can share for their stores. "

Put in a nutshell, we couldn’t do without Retailers Against Crime and I would like to think that our membership adds value to our tenants’ service charge. "

" RAC is used daily by our store teams across the Next estate in Scotland and Northern Ireland, both our officers and Store Managers finding it invaluable. They provide first rate support in sharing intel and helping identify offenders in our stores. With RAC sharing details of offenders in other businesses, our stores can prepare better for when they "visit" us, and hopefully vice versa. The practical, live nature of the intel alert sharing means members get this info when it's hot, not days later - this is particularly useful in incidents of cash scamming and fraud at tills, as well as the presence of violent, aggressive offenders. The team at RAC are great at encouraging retailers to participate to get the best out of the service, and always know the right questions to ask if more info is needed. RAC also offers great field support to assist individual stores and groups of retailers in busy locations, as highlighted in their involvement in coordinating "Days of Action". The value of the service to it's members is shown by the fact that they tend to stay with RAC, year after year, valuing it as a cost-effective support tool to help them reduce loss - I can't think of a better recommendation than that.
